Mark Board

Mark Board is a Sr. Technical Advisor to Hecla Mining Company and has over 40 years of experience in various aspects of underground mining.  He was previously Vice President, Technical Services for Hecla prior to his retirement from full time work in 2020.  He is a rock mechanics and mining engineer whose specialty is design of deep mining operations and assessment of mine stability.  He holds a PhD in Geological Engineering from the University of Minnesota and is a member of the US National Academy of Engineering.
